Re-considering

My career choice and future. I’m currently in the Dental (assisting) field, but now thinking about Pharmacy and my first love, Graphic Design. I’ve been having these doubts about my career choice ever since I’ve started college. My parents always wanted me to go into Nursing or something within the medical field because it’s going to benefit my future in the long run, but I’m the total opposite of that, always being creative and artsy. I ended up in dental because I didn’t want to do Nursing, it was in the medical field and I knew it was going to make my parents happy. Dental is a good career and I like my job, but I don’t LOVE it. And Pharmacy on the other hand came to mind just recently because it’s probably the closest thing to the medical field, but not fully coming into contact with body fluids or parts LOL. I’m so confused in what to do that I’m up 1 in the morning venting on tumblr about this hahahaha. I just don’t know how to tell my parents that I want to do something else with my life and have them support me completely. How would you handle my situation?

When I was a kid, I didn't have a laptop, iPod, Blackberry, PS3, Wifi or iPads. I played outside with friends, bruised my knees, made up stories and played hide and seek. I ate what my mom made. I would think twice before I said "no" to my parents. Life wasn't hard, it was good & I survived. Kids these days are spoiled. Re-post this if you appreciate the way you were raised. I think we were happier kids.
